Many people commented online that Chinese foreign policy has been too weak. That's why countries around can send ships a monitor the area that aren't belonged to them. The US even intentionally return the land that did not belong to some countries at all. But that's the intention the US want the others to think of China. Even with some small actions, the Western lenses will regard as rise of military power and bring threat to the whole world.

Take a look at the scenario: A friend came to you and ask you to borrow money as his firm is facing financial difficulties.  This friend came to you over and over again for financial assistance and you helped him over and over again. According to the thought of the author, this friend will gathered a gang of people to come and kill you because you are the biggest debtor... ( and yes you are also the debtor of some of the gang of people). So that his debt will be waived if you get killed. If this is a court case, the friend will sentence for a very long period of time if not a life sentence. But in the world of politics, it is different.

History is written by the winners. That's all.

Any solutions? I don't know. Bu from the mindset of the author. maybe China should decrease the holding of US Treasury and place its holding below Japan. I guess it's more difficult for the US to have war with Japan. Oh by the way, the US has killed Japan by bust up the Japanese economic bubble in late 1980s... since then, Japan never recover. Killing without blood.

After war, economies improve significantly because there is nothing left in the country. People get killed and people don't need to worry about unemployment rate. Less intense competition among companies because there are only a few firms left in the industry. Because the base value is so low, you will see a huge % growth.

But that's not something most people want to see. War, whether the government wins or loses, only bring suffer and sorrow to the civilians.
