The true essence of critical thinking is to provide views of both sides and let the readers come up with a thought. However, if there is only one side of the story, this is not critical thinking. This is propaganda!
It is a devine duty for the press to provide both sides of the story to the readers and let the readers make the conclusion. Extract from the vow of the court, "The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth". Telling the whole truth is very important and it's also very important for readers to form a perspective of different issues. Telling part of the truth is just as good as lying.
And I think the press still have a lot of room to improve.
